WIRE: Writing Instructors' Resources WIRE is a resource-sharing project developed by myself and Fritz Swanson at the University of Michigan. Under the leadership of Anne Curzan, the Writing Program's head, we implemented a wiki designed specifically to allow instructors of first-year English courses an organic repository of teaching materials to adapt, borrow, re-use, and add to. A wiki is web-based application that allows users to edit existing web pages easily and dynamically; users may upload materials, discuss resources with other users, and update materials already available. The most easily recognizable wiki is the WikiPedia. Please feel free to visit WIRE. A username (fsys) and password (pearl) are required for login. In the meantime, I've included some screen shots of the application below. Click on an image to enlarge it. |
