In this page, comments and annotations pertaining to my reading of
Haywood's Fantomina
can be found. New notes will load into this frame.
Download all the files into one folder--your index.html file, your styleX.css files, and your notes template.html file. Open the website in a web design program.
To create a new note, simply open your notes template.html file. Select the text (content only, not heading and coding info) in this file and delete
it. Add new text. Then SAVE this page AS a new document--use a brief
descriptive file name like "theater.html" or "box_hill.html." DO NOT
CLICK SAVE, or you will replace the original template file with your
new file. Make sure all your notes files are saved in the same
directory as your main page, "index.html."
Once you have saved your web document under a new name, you will need to make a link from your text to this new document.
Open the "index.html" file, where your fulltext is stored. Select the
text you want to transform into a link to the new document you've just
created. INSERT a HYPERLINK to that new file, "theater.html" or
"box_hill.html," for instance. Save your "index.html" page, otherwise
your new link will not be updated.
This note you're reading now is stored in
the file "notes.html."
